City Reach

The Confirmation Class and Senior Youth Group participate in Ecclesia Ministries, City Reach Boston each spring.  This is an opportunity to learn about homelessness from people who are homeless or who have been homeless by offering hospitality, food, and clothing.  The group sleeps over night at The Church on the Hill in Boston.  On Friday evening some of the staff, who are either homeless now or were recently homeless, share their stories and take the group on a homeless tour of Boston. On Saturday we distribute food and clothing to the homeless people in that area.  This is a moving experience for all who attend.

Good Samaritan Offering

With the uncertain economy, many in our community need our help.  The Good Samaritan Fund provides fuel assistance, helps fund the Sutton Food Pantry, and provides assistance to those who need help paying for prescriptions and emergency shelter.  Good Samaritan envelopes are in the pews every week, to better serve those in our community who need our help.

Do you need our prayers?

We will bring to God the needs of others.  The First Church prayer line will pray for any and all requests, by anyone, for anyone, at any time.  Requests will remain confidential and ped for daily.  If you or someone you know is in need of prayer, please contact the church office .
